Drug Bust of the Day:
Cops in Australia found illegal drugs hidden inside highlighter markers.
The New South Wales Police Force discovered nearly 650-pounds of ephedrine, an ingredient in methamphetamine. The ephedrine was hidden inside 50 boxes of colored highlighters. Border officers made the find after X-raying the package, which had been shipped from China. Police said the ephedrine could have yielded $120-million-dollars worth of meth. Three men have been arrested so far. (Still)I'm a Poll Man:
Sixty-one-percent of people polled in a new Harvard CAPS-Harris survey say they favor an outright ban on the AR-15 rifle that was used earlier this month in the Florida high school massacre. Thirty-nine-percent say that adults who pass background checks should be able to purchase them.
However, just 36-percent in that same survey say banning assault rifles would do the most to stop shootings, while 32-percent favor enhanced school security and another 32-percent say an increasing commitment to mental health would be the best initiative. (Pacelli)Trolling for publicity:
Pregnancy hasn't dampened CHRISSY TEIGEN's sense of humor. The supermodel is having some serious cravings in her delicate condition and asked the big wigs at American Airlines and the TSA if she could bring a ceramic dish full of scalloped potatoes through the airport security checkpoints. Turns out the dish was just fine and she proudly showed off her "emotional support casserole" on social media. (Lee)
Fashion Emergency:
Is JUSTIN BIEBER ready to launch his own clothing line? Our Magic 8-Ball says "All Signs Point To Yes." Teen Voguesays Justin's company recently filed paperwork to trademark his middle name "Drew" for various articles of clothing including shorts, jeans, skirts, and more. Justin's team has also filed trademarks for "The House of Drew" as well as for "La Maison Drew," the French version of the name. (Bartha)
