Fast Food:
McDonald's says they are switching to paper straws in the United Kingdom and Ireland to test the move which would stop the plastic waste from the straws in the environment. McDonald's uses 1.8 million straws each day at its 1,361 restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Plastic straws are the sixth most common type of litter globally. Only one percent are recycled, because they are made of a mixture of polypropylene and polystyrene.
The company said the changeover would be complete in 2019. Obviously, if the move works, they'll be rolling out the change in their other restaurants in other countries as well.Royalty Report:
There's another royal wedding in the works and this one could be more historic than PRINCE HARRY marrying an American! Yep, the UK's Daily Mail reports LORD IVAR MOUNTBATTEN--who happens to have a cousin named QUEEN ELIZABETH--will be tying the knot with JAMES COYLE in the family's first gay marriage! Ivar came out back in 2016, says there was no major proposal, just an acceptance of "great love" and his ex-wife, PENNY, will be giving him away. The duo share three daughters between the ages of 15 to 22. Penny says her former love is "so much kinder" these days and they hit it off within 10-seconds of meeting years ago. (Lee)
TV Briefs:
Talk about JERRY SPRINGER's show wrapping up hit the fan Friday, after the CW network announced it had closed a multi-year deal to broadcast re-runs of the show.
Deadline now reports the talk show has now stopped production, although the network could re-start production and produce new episodes at any time. However, with 28 seasons and 38-hundred episodes since its debut in 1991, it seems unlikely that might happen. And Jerry himself turned 74 years old in February.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:

You cansee and hear one track, called "Apes**t," on YouTube. (Marino)
