On, off and way-off-Broadway:
CHER hopped over to Chicago to see the stage musical about her life before it opens tomorrow. She told the Chicago Tribune that "The Cher Show" needs work. Cher said (quote), "I'm not supposed to say that but I don't care. But you know, I was really very surprised by how close to real these people feel." Cher went on to say (quote), "I am the most critical person who ever drew breath. If they can impress me, they're doing good." "The Cher Show" is expected to open on Broadway this fall. (Marino)
Trendspotting:
This summer, orange really is the new black. Usually you only see orange trotted out in the fall for pumpkins and turkey season. But Pinterest says this season, orange clothes and accessories are being pinned 190 percent more this year than they were last year. That's a huge uptick. When putting together an outfit, keep in mind that orange contrasts well with green and blue, and complements pink. (Bartha)
Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places:
This has all the makings of "Fatal Attraction 2."
Nineteen-year-old SAMANTHA MEARS, of Great Falls, Montana, took a machete to her ex-boyfriend's house and forced him to have sex with her.
Mears broke in when he wasn't home and was waiting for him. He told police that he followed her orders because he feared for his life. She also bit him on the arm when he tried to stop her.
The victim was able to take pictures of Mears after the encounter while she was sitting on the bed with the machete and he provided them to police. She's been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a deadly weapon. (Myers)
