Has this ever happened before? The West Hollywood City Council voted last night to ask the City of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Trump's star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tem JOHN D'AMICO tells TheWrap "Earning a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is an honor. When one belittles and attacks minorities, immigrants, people with disabilities or women --the honor no longer exists."
The move is the latest affront for Trump's star, which has been damaged by a pickaxe, spray-painted and beaten with a sledgehammer in the past couple of years.
And even though the resolution was passed by the city council, it has no jurisdiction over the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is run by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the City of Los Angeles.Variety reports "Wonder Woman" star GAL GADOT is in talks to play 1940s film star HEDY LAMARR, who starred in Hollywood films in the 1940s. She was in the classic movies "Samson and Delilah," "Boom Town," and "Come Live With Me," and also gets credit for co-inventing and developing a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes during World War II. The technology did not come into wide use until after the war, but was later used in Bluetooth technology and resulted in her being inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014.
Rumor mill: a Supergirl movie is in the works...
Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment are reportedly in the process of putting together a "Supergirl" movie, but no word on whether MELISSA BENOIST --who plays her in the CW series-- would play the character in the film.
