As you might have guessed, Broadway theatres will be dimming their lights for a minute at exactly 6:45 pm (Eastern) on Thursday night to mark the passing last week of NEIL SIMON. The tribute is well deserved --some of his plays included "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "The Sunshine Boys," "The Odd Couple," "Barefoot in the Park," "Plaza Suite," and musicals including "Little Me" and "Sweet Charity." He also wrote screenplays for "The Out-of-Towners," "The Heartbreak Kid," and "The Goodbye Girl."
Ready to upgrade that iPhone?
Bloomberg reports Apple is going to launch three new iPhone models this fall, including an iPhone X Plus successor with a whopping 6.5 inch OLED screen. Still not ready for the gigantic screen? There'll also reportedly be a smaller version with a 5.8 inch diagonal screen.
All models are supposed to have Face ID and not that fingerprint reader that Apple has apparently given up.For those of you planning weddings --the Facebook story of the week is about a potential Canadian bride named Susan who wanted her friends and family to pony up $15-hundred dollars to help finance her dream --a wedding that would cost $60-thousand dollars. Yeah, right.
As you can imagine, there was more than a bit of backlash over that decision, forcing Susan to call off the wedding just days before they were scheduled to say their "I Dos."
"How could we have our wedding that we dreamed of without proper funding? We'd sacrificed so much and only asked each guest for around $1,500" she wrote on Facebook. "My maid of honor pledged $5,000 along with her planning services... So our request for $1,500 for all other guests was not f***ing out of the ordinary. Like, we made it clear. If you couldn't contribute, you weren't invited to our exclusive wedding. It's a once and a lifetime party."
She continued, "All we asked was for a little help from our friends and family to make it happen... I just wanted to be a Kardashian for a day and then live my life like normal," she said.
There's much more HERE.
Of course, this should open up the phones for the worst Bridezilla you've ever known... and of course you'll offer to give the tattletales a fake name... LOL.
