Congrats to Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph, who'll be doing the voices for a new Fox animated comedy called "Bless the Harts." Variety sez the series will follow a group of Southerners who are always broke as a joke, and struggling for the American dream of status and wealth. What they don't realize is that they're already rich, in friends, family and laughter. The new series will start next year.
PHISH fans in the Big Apple are rejoicing after the band announced they'll be doing a New Year's Eve run at Madison Square Garden-- Dec 28 to Dec 31. They've played at the Garden since 1995, including the last four years straight for New Year's.
Name change #1: Weight Watchers is changing its name to simply "WW." Mindy Grossman, who's the CEO of the company, says the change is because "Everyone is talking about wellness, and to a degree people don't want to use the word 'diet' because they think it's a more short-term, punitive kind of issue, and that's not what we are." So there.
Name change #2: Dunkin' Donuts is dropping the word "Donuts" from its name. The change is reportedly so that the chain can focus more on sales of its beverages, which represent 60-percent of its sales. Before you get all nostalgic and begin crying, the name change won't start until the beginning of next year (2019), when the company will begin replacing all the signage from its 12,500 restaurants and erasing the first name from its logo.
