ANSEL ELGORT has been cast in the lead role of Tony in Steven Spielberg's film version of the Broadway musical, "West Side Story." In the original, 1961 movie, Richard Beymer played Tony, while Natalie Wood played Maria, and Rita Moreno played Anita. The female roles have not been cast yet for the new movie.

Here's a fun story: Forbes magazine reports that deadly brain-eating amoeba, which resulted in the death of a New Jersey man who took a dip in a Texas wave pool has now been found in the Louisiana water system near Shreveport as well.
The amoeba --called Naegleria fowleri-- causes a brain infection that destroys brain tissue has a fatality rate of over 97 percent. Victims of primary amebic meningo-encephalitis (also known in a shorter form as PAM) typically die within five days.
The CDC says you can't get Naegleria fowleri by drinking contaminated water. But you can when contaminated water enters the body through the nose, either in a chlorinated swimming pool water or if you use contaminated tap water to rinse your sinuses.
