The big stories this weekend... R. KELLY is outta jail in Chicago after he shelled out the $161,000 dollars he owed in child support. The Cook County sheriff's office said the money was paid on Saturday morning and he was set free shortly afterwards. But he still faces 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, involving four alleged victims, three of whom were minors at the time. Although he's plead not guilty to all the charges, if he's convicted, he could get three to seven years in prison on each charge.
The other story is that JENNIFER LOPEZ and ALEX RODRIGUEZ are now engaged, with A-Rod posting pics on social media or a HUMONGOUS diamond ring on THAT finger and the note, "She said yes." People magazine reports he popped the question during their getaway in the Bahamas. No word on whether customs officials found the rock on their way there... and what they said, if anything.
The folks at "The Simpsons" have dropped an episode which originally aired in 1991, and which used MICHAEL JACKSON's voice as the voice of a man in an insane asylum who thought he WAS Michael. In "Stark Raving Dad," the man's true identity was revealed as "Leon Kompowsky." Executive Producer James L. Brooks, creator Matt Groening, and producer Al Jean collectively decided to pull the episode from streaming services, including "Simpsons World," and any syndicated reruns after watching last week's two-part documentary in which three now-grown men claimed Michael sexually abused them when they were youngsters.
JULIA RUTH STEVENS, the last surviving daughter of baseball legend BABE RUTH, has died at age 102 at an assisted living facility in Henderson, NV. She was adopted by Ruth after he married her mother in 1929 when Julia was 12 years old.
What's wrong with taking a selfie? If you're at a zoo, it's probably not a good idea to get into an animal's habitat to take a picture with them, especially if they happen to be... a jaguar. That's exactly what happened over the weekend when a woman was attacked by the big cat as the 30-year-old woman climbed over a barrier, and the jaguar reached out and grabbed her arm with its paw. Fortunately, the jaguar didn't bite her, but did leave lacerations according to zoo officials. She had to be taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but will be OK.
No word on whether her Facebook page had a photo of the lacerations. -
