Sorry to hear that GEORGIA ENGEL, who played Georgette Franklin on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," has died at the age of 70. She won two Emmy nominations on the show as the love interest of anchorman Ted Baxter. She also played Pat McDougall on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
"Bohemian Rhapsody" has now made over $900 million internationally passing the mark on Sunday --and only cost $50-million to make. The movie is now Fox's fourth-biggest title behind "Avatar," "Titanic," and "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace."
Speaking of "Avatar," MICHELLE YEOH has joined the cast of the latest sequel, playing a scientist named Dr. Karina Mogue. The first of the four planned "Avatar" sequels will be in theaters in December of next year (2020).
Coming up: A musical version of the DUSTIN HOFFMAN movie, "Tootsie," in which a guy named Michael Dorsey changes into a woman named Dorothy Michaels to star in a new musical. The Broadway version is set to open at the Marquis Theatre on April 23 and will star Tony nominee SANTINO FONTANA.
Besides the main story, the subplots have changed from the original to update it from 1982 --37 years ago-- to keep it relevant. Also coming up: JENNIFER LOPEZ's new film, "Hustlers." STXfilms says it'll be in theatres Sep 13, and co-star CONSTANCE WU, CARDI B, LILI REINHART, KEKE PALMER, JULIA STILES and MERCEDES RUEHL.
The film is based on a New York magazine article by Jessica Pressler, about a bunch former strip club employees who get together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. -
