Lawsuit of the day: Whoopsie! MARLIN JACKSON, an Alabama man, is suing Delta Air Lines and one of its passengers after he was assaulted by an "emotional support dog."
It happened back in 2017, when Jackson was flying from Atlanta to San Diego, and was placed next to RONALD MUNDY, who was sitting in the middle seat with his 50-pound dog in his lap. The lawsuit claims that when Jackson sat down in the window seat and buckled his seat belt, he asked Mundy if the dog --who was growling at the time-- was safe, and was assured it was. But then the dog reportedly lunged at Jackson, biting him several times in the face and pinning him against the window. His suit claims the attack was so severe that suffered "extensive facial damage," including lacerations to his nose and mouth, and bled so profusely "that the entire row of seats had to be removed from the airplane."Disney will officially open its "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" theme park next to Disneyland on Friday. Besides the rides themed on "Star Wars," guests can also build their own droids and lightsabers and interact with aliens. And there's a huge mockup of the Millennium Falcon which you can tour --and learn to operate. Plus, there's Star Wars-themed food (of course) and a marketplace where you can buy "Star Wars"-themed paraphernalia.
While we're on the subject of outer space, it turns out that the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing is coming up July 20th, and the folks at Lego are coming out with a new set for the kids on Saturday (June first) to celebrate the occasion. The 1000-piece building set not only has a highly-detailed replica of Apollo 11's Eagle lunar module, but also a bit of the lunar surface to put it on, along with footprints and a U.S. flag.
Oh, yeah: it's gonna cost $99.99.Yesterday we mentioned that KIT HARRINGTON was staying at a rehab center in New Jersey... turns out it wasn't the one we mentioned. The NY Post reports a 30-day stay at Prive Swiss --off Boston Post Road in Westbrook, CT-- costs up to $120,000, and offers a private chef, fitness studio, massages and is only offered to three clients at a time. Page Six also reports SELENA GOMEZ was spotted at the center last year and "completed similar treatment."
Fast food dep't: Krispy Kreme fans are celebrating Friday (May 31) with something called Chocolate Glaze Days. At close to 250 participating locations across the U.S. and Canada, the company will be re-releasing its popular Chocolate Glazed Doughnut for one day only. Suck it up, Buttercup!
This is not the first time the Chocolate Glazed doughnut has been released. It was first in stores on August 21, 2017, to coincide with a solar eclipse and again on July 7, 2018, to celebrate World Chocolate Day. -
