Could be a new world record: Last week, JIMMY de FRENNE, a 48-year-old man from Belgium, sat on a toilet for 116 hours --nearly five days-- in a bid to set a new Guinness world record.
Guinness says they don't have a category for sitting on a toilet, so Jimmy may have the title. He was allowed a five-minute break each hour while sitting in a back room at the Filip's Place bar in Ostend, Belgium. As for sleeping, if he didn't take bathroom breaks, the five-minute time period could be used as a part of a sleep break. And since the toilet wasn't connected to plumbing, he actually did have to take a toilet break or two while attempting to set the record. In Barcelona, Spain, a passenger on an incoming flight from Columbia was pulled out a crowd of passengers after police noticed his toupee was about two inches off the top of his head. Yes, as it turns out, there was two pounds of cocaine hidden there --almost $45-thousand dollars worth.
Reuters News Service was able to get several pictures of the guy for your amusement.Food news: You know there's been a run of vegetable-based companies attempting to replace meat in things like hamburgers, right? Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat have made plant-burgers for guys like Burger King.
But now, the pendulum has swung the other way. Arby's has put together "the world's first 'Meat Vegetable' --or 'Megetable.'" It looks like a large carrot, but Arby's calls it the 'Marrot.' It's made from tender, marinated 100 percent turkey breast and a special carrot marinade made from dried carrot juice powder.
No word on when it will be available in Arby's restaurants, but the company says it "contains more than 30g of protein and is a good source of Vitamin A (more than 70% of the daily recommended value)." And yes, look for extra "We Have the Meats" commercials when it makes the menu. There's been a delay in that upcoming "Sesame Street" movie from Warner Brothers and MGM. The film, which will star ANNE HATHAWAY, has been moved back and will now open June 4, 2021.
