Here's a frightening story: a new survey by Tommy John, a company that sells underwear, asked two-thousand Americans about their underwear habits and found...
--45-percent wear the same pair of underwear for two days or longer.
--13-percent said they wear their underwear for seven days or more.
--Just over 50-percent said they change their underwear every day.
Taken to an extreme, that could mean if you changed your underwear this morning, the person next to you didn't....
Oh, yeah --as you might have guessed, men are two and a half times more likely than women to wear their dirty underwear longer. So how come there's been so many cancelled American Airlines flights lately? The airline says its mechanics unions are putting on a work slowdown to win leverage in its contract talks. The unions --which rep around 12-thousand mechanics-- have denied the claims.
Nevertheless, the airline says it's gonna sue the Transport Workers Union of America and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for damages. The US Postal Service says they're not shipping as many packages this year --thanks to the folks at FedEx and Amazon. And we're talking a substantial amount --around 3.2 percent, or around 47 million fewer packages in just the second quarter this year.
Finally! If you've ever been to the top of the Washington Monument, it's an experience you'll never forget --and a view to match! Now, the monument will reopen on October 18 after being damaged by an earthquake in 2011 and the elevator breaking down in 2016. Tickets will be available at recreation.gov for tours starting on October 19.
Ever wanted to own a kangaroo --even though you're not an Aussie? Well, according to a map floating around the internet, there are only three states where you could without a special license or permit --Wisconsin, South Carolina or Virginia. Ten states require a permit and it is illegal in 37 others.
Somebody picked up a basketball jersey once worn by former President Obama while he attended a Honolulu prep school... and it only cost $120-thousand dollars. Heritage Auctions which sold the jersey over the weekend said the guy who bought it was a collector of American and sports memorabilia --and didn't wish to be identified.
Police now say LARRY GRIFFIN, the guy who left a couple of rice cookers in a Manhattan subway station, provoking a big bomb scare, is actually a 26-year-old West Virginia native who's known to police for sending videos to a minor showing Larry having sex with a chicken.
A West Virginia neighbor said "He' s not a terrorist, (but) "weird thing is, why leave one pot here, one pot there? That's the only question I have for him." Other law enforcement sources say he's emotionally disturbed and homeless. A West Virginia cop told the NY Post, "In technical terms, there's something that ain't right with him." -
