It is now the law to hold a moment of silence on 9/11 in New York public schools. On Monday, Gov. ANDREW CUOMO signed legislation requiring all public schools to hold a moment of silence every year on September 11. "9/11 was one of the single darkest periods in this state's and this nation's history, and we owe it to those we lost and to the countless heroes who ran toward danger that day and the days that followed to do everything we can to keep their memory alive," Cuomo said.
Real estate news: KIM KARDASHIAN and KANYE WEST have picked up a piece of property worth $14 million --in Wyoming. TMZ reports the nine-thousand-acre place called Monster Lake Ranch because its two freshwater lakes are home to "monster trout." Why buy? In a September interview with Vogue Arabia, Kanye interviewed Kim, asking where she saw herself in 10 years. "I see us living on a ranch in Wyoming," she said, "occasionally going to Palm Springs and our home in Los Angeles."
As for Kanye, he told Complex.com "I'm going to be one of the biggest real estate developers of all time - what Howard Hughes was to aircrafts and what Henry Ford was to cars," he said... "Just the relationships I have with architects, my understanding of space and sacred proportions, just this new vice, this new energy . . . We gonna develop cities."It's coming: We're just two days away from Friday the 13th... and there'll be a full moon to mark the occasion. A Friday the 13th full moon hasn't happened since Oct 13, 2000, and won't happen again until Aug 13, 2049, in case you were wondering.
Food news: Dairy Queen is bringing back their Butterscotch Dipped Cone for the fall. Until now, the cone was only available at select locations but this time they're taking it nationwide.
More food news: Taco Bell is launching a new vegetarian menu and without any items from the Beyond Meat or Impossible Food chains. Instead, sources say that The Bell was test marketing the new items in Dallas, and they'll be introducing the items nationwide tomorrow (Thursday) at more than 7,000 of the chain's locations. The new items will include the black bean Crunchwrap Supreme and black bean Quesarito, as well as the classic seven-layer burrito and bean burrito.
The move comes after the chain's research found that around 11-percent of their customers follow a vegetarian diet.Look for JUDITH LIGHT to pick up a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame tomorrow (Thursday) morning in front of the El Centro Complex near the famous corner of Hollywood & Vine. Judith began her career on the soap opera "One Life to Live" from 1977 to 1983, then appeared in "Ugly Betty," "Law and Order, SVU", "Dallas," and "Who's the Boss" as well. She'll also be in the Netflix series "The Politician," beginning on Sep 27, as well as the musical finale of "Transparent" on the same day.
