Friday morning, PRINCE's estate dropped his demo for "I Feel For You" as a surprise release to mark its 40th anniversary, available on his website as a 7-inch single. Although Prince did it first, the song, of course, was redone by CHAKA KHAN in 1984 and became a huge hit.
BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN made a surprise appearance Friday night in Freehold, NJ, at a screening for his movie, "Western Stars," and told the crowd "We knew we weren't going to tour, so I tried to figure out a way to get the music to you," he said. The film will be in theaters starting this Friday, but there'll also be special screenings this Wednesday with a behind-the-scenes look at the movie, previously unseen archival footage and unreleased music from Bruce.
Here's good news (not!): NY Sen CHUCK SCHUMER released a study by Healthy Babies Bright Futures which found 95% of the 168 baby foods that were tested had some form of heavy metals in them --lead, arsenic, mercury or cadmium. And one in four baby foods that were tested contained all four metals.
