Congrats to soccer superstar MEGAN RAPINOE, who's been named Sports Illustrated's 2019 sportsperson of the year. She's just the fourth woman to pick up the title in 66 years --the others being tennis stars CHRIS EVERT and SERENA WILLIAMS, and four-time U.S. Olympic runner MARY DECKER.
Yes, that was VANNA WHITE hosting "Wheel of Fortune" last night, filling in for regular host PAT SAJAK, who had to undergo emergency surgery when the episode was taped. So who turned over the letters on the puzzle board? Somebody dressed up as Minnie Mouse. Vanna will be hosting the show for three weeks while Pat took time off to recover from his surgery.
CHRIS CORNELL's widow, VICKY, is suing the guys in SOUNDGARDEN. She's claiming they reportedly owe her hundreds of thousands of dollars in royalties and the rights to seven unreleased recordings made before Chris's death back in May of 2017. Vicky is represented by Hollywood lawyer MARTY SINGER-- who's worked for big-time movie stars including ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, BRUCE WILLIS, JOHN TRAVOLTA and SHARON STONE.
