We knew the Coronavirus would have an effect on movie-going --and it did. Some theatres told moviegoers they could only sit in every other seat, thus giving up half their revenues. Others closed completely, the result being that the total revenue for the North American box office is expected to be below $55 million for the worst weekend performance in more than 20 years. We'll find out later today.
In other show biz news, DANIEL CRAIG has reiterated his statement that he's done with starring in the James Bond movies after "No Time to Die" comes out in November.
In an interview with GQ magazine --with his picture on the cover-- he says "This is my last movie... I've kept my mouth shut before and I've stayed out of it and I've respected it and I've regretted that I did." Two words: See ya.
You probably knew this was coming --Federal authorities from Customs in Los Angeles found a package with hundreds of fake home-testing kits for people with coronavirus symptoms.
Customs officials have warned not to buy home testing kits for sale either online or in person --since they don't exist yet. The only place you can get tested is in verified state and local public laboratories.
