Tired of your hair looking like a mop? With the hairstylists closed because of the pandemic, just about everybody is. So much so that CBS has put together a one-hour special a week from tonight, called “Haircut Night in America.” The special, hosted by JERRY O’CONNELL and REBECCA ROMIJN, will feature a bunch of stylists showing you “how-to” --and then watching as a few celebrities like KELLY OSBOURNE and Olympian LINDSEY VONN try to cut their own hair.
Latest word from the guys at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is that we're gonna have a “very active” hurricane season this year. The NOAA is looking for between 13 to 19 named storms with six to 10 developing into hurricanes (we usually get six). We've already had one named storm... Arthur... the rest of this year's hurricane names will be: Bertha, Cristobal, Dolly, Edouard, Fay, Gonzalo, Hanna, Isaias, Josephine, Kyle, Laura, Marco, Nana, Omar, Paulette, Rene, Sally, Teddy and Vicky makes 20. There's more, but let's hope there's not more than that!
If there was a vaccine for the coronavirus --would you get it? Turns out a new survey from Ipsos says 14-percent of Americans are not at all interested in taking a vaccine, 10-percent said they are not very interested and 11-percent said they are unsure.
If you said, "yes," then you're like most Americans --a bit less than two-thirds of Americans said they were either “very” or “somewhat” interested in a coronavirus vaccine.
Has your city or state reopened? CNN reports Alaska is reopening today (Friday), including businesses, houses of worship, libraries, museums and sports facilities. Of course, Alaska has had the least cases of coronavirus of any state, about 400 cases of them. Just ten people in the state have died from Covid-19. There will still be a 14-day quarantine for interstate or international travelers, however, if you're thinking about a summer vacation up there.
