There may be another “Dirty Dancing” movie in the works. Variety reports JENNIFER GREY will be the star and executive produce the new film, but there's no official word from Lionsgate films on whether this will be a sequel, or just another dance movie. The other question --if the movie is supposed to be set in the 1990s --30 years after the original film-- would Jennifer be one of the instructors in the Catskills resort... or will the setting be entirely different?
Do you wear a mask --or are against it? The folks at Giant Eagle grocers in Pennsylvania have responded to a lawsuit filed by a shopper who says mandating a mask in their stores violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. The supermarkets’ response asks the court to stop "anti-mask activists," citing social media posts that show Kimberly Pletcher’s objections are ideologically motivated, and notes the store offers curbside pickup, home delivery, and even personal shopping for anyone whose health doesn’t let them mask up while stocking up.
The coronavirus pandemic isn't bad for everybody --the folks at Netflix got 10.1 million new streaming subscribers in their second quarter --setting a new quarterly record for the company.
We're less than a week away from the San Diego Comic-Con's free virtual event. Comic-Con@Home will have almost entirely pre-recorded panels from the folks at HBO, Amazon Prime Video, AMC, Disney and Hulu as well as CBS All Access, which is reportedly planning a mega “Star Trek” universe panel, incorporating “Picard,” “Discovery” and “Lower Decks.”
Gotta love CHRIS EVANS, who heard about six-year-old BRIDGER WALKER, who saved his younger, two-year-old sister from a dog attack, and then sent him his Captain America Shield for his efforts. And efforts is a mild word, considering that BRIDGER needed 90 stitches after protecting his sister from the charging dog. Check out the story on Instagram HERE. In the video from his aunt, NICOLE NOEL WALKER, the tyke can be seen wearing a Captain America suit while he sits beside his sister. His aunt and uncle said he can now “hang it on his wall and attack bad guys.”
Fast food: The folks at Krispy Kreme are celebrating their 83rd birthday today (Friday, July 17) by giving away one free Original Glazed dozen when you buy any dozen doughnuts at any of their locations. Enjoy!
