Sorry to hear Sir SEAN CONNERY, the man who was James Bond, passed away Saturday. He was 90. His seven Bond films included:
- "Dr No" in 1962
- "From Russia with Love" in 1963
- "Goldfinger" in 1964
- "Thunderball" in 1965
- "You Only Live Twice" in 1967
- "Diamonds are Forever" in 1971
- and "Never Say Never Again" in 1983.
PIERCE BROSNAN, who played James Bond in later films, posted a tribute on Instagram, saying “You led the way for us all who followed in your iconic foot steps. Each man in his turn looked to you with reverence and admiration as we forged ahead with our own interpretations of the role. You were mighty in every way, as an actor and as a man, and will remain so till the end of time. You were loved by the world, and will be missed. God bless, rest now, be at peace.”
NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” will have DAVE CHAPPELLE hosting this weekend's November 7th edition, which will undoubtedly feature all their post-election analysis and humorous perspective that only they can give. The musical guest has not yet been announced.
More election trivia... although the November elections will happen across the country tomorrow, many people have already voted bye mail --but several states will still have to count their mail-in ballots because of the laws there. Nearly a third of the states just require that the mail-in ballots are postmarked, rather than received, by Election Day, and several others require postmarks from just one day prior to Election Day. But wait --there's more: swing states Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina have extended their mail-in ballot deadlines which could make an impact on election results. And then there are the states which don't allow anybody to begin tabulating the mail-in stuff until election day --so getting the results could take days, and it doesn't leave much for the TV hosts who are anchoring the results show to talk about (although I'm sure there'll be something).
Election Day freebie: Head to Krispy Kreme tomorrow (Tuesday, November 3rd), where they're giving away free Original Glazed Doughnuts, no purchase necessary. They also will be passing out “I Voted” stickers, while supplies last. And no, you don't have to prove you actually voted.
Another day, another tattoo for JUSTIN BIEBER, who told fans during his latest YouTube special he got a rose tattoo on the right side of his neck this past September. Now, he says he's finished getting ink on his neck, but sez 'My back is still pretty open, and I don't have kids yet. So, I'm thinking of getting their portraits on my back.' So far, Justin has around 60 tattoos.
Listener question: How many tattoos do you have and which one is your favorite --and what is it of? Justin says on his rose tattoo "the thorns symbolize the rough spots in my life. The flower is such a representation of beauty."
Gotta go: ICYMI: The Queen of England told her royal biographer she'll 'step down next year' when she reaches the age of 95, and hand over the monarchy to Prince Charles.
