The Love Boat is not leaving port: The folks at Carnival and Princess Cruise Lines have suspended all their scheduled sailings from American ports until later this Spring. Princess says they'd like to restart cruises after May 14th; Carnival claims they'll be picking up anchors as of March 31st.
Congrats to ELON MUSK, who is now the richest man in the world after the Tesla CEO passed Amazon bigwig JEFF BEZOS. It all has to do with Tesla's stock shooting up over $185 billion Thursday morning, which nailed the spot for Musk, since he owns a reported 20.9-percent of the company's stock. Also, Tesla stock has been doing very well over the past year, moving up over 700-percent.
Word is there's another possible Coronavirus vaccine, but you probably won't get it. Beijing, China-based Sinovac Biotech, has sold more than 300 million doses to the developing world, filling a gap left by Western countries. Brazilian officials claim a study of the vaccine showed it had a 78 percent efficiency.
TMZ reports a woman tried to break into JOHNNY DEPP's Los Angeles home over the past weekend, but left after a series of alarms went off and was then arrested by police when they searched the surrounding area.
A new report released by the Department of Health and Human Services’ substance-abuse office says more than one government agency is alarmed about the growing depiction of drugs in movies and popular songs --in fact, the report claims 98 percent of movies show characters using some kind of "substances," including all sorts of illegal stuff and other legal items like tobacco, alcohol, even over-the-counter prescription drugs. In fact, the study claims that illicit drugs appeared in 22 percent of movies and that in a quarter of those movies, drug use was ”portrayed in a humorous context.”
