Concert news: You can catch JON BON JOVI's latest concert on May 22nd at your nearest drive-in theater. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Bon Jovi will not be touring but will deliver a pre-taped concert directly to numerous drive-in theaters throughout North America on May 22. How can you get tickets? The band is partnering with Encore Drive-In Nights, for a special, one-night-only event at more than 300 outdoor drive-in theaters. Head to https://www.encorenights.com/ to buy tickets for a bunch of concerts.
PS: tickets for the concert start at $68 per vehicle, which is good for up to six people.
Tube News: Variety reports CARRIE ANN INABA is taking a leave of absence from “The Talk” in order “to focus on my health and well-being.” With SHARON OSBORNE off the show, that leaves just two hostesses --although CBS may announce a replacement for one or the other fairly soon.
Gotta urge to head to Europe? The European Commission President, URSULA von der LEYEN, told the NY Times that Americans may be able to travel there, provided they are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Makes sense, since both the US and EU have approved Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. But some nations are still restricting travelers and public events --like the mayor of the Spanish city of Pamplona, who announced the annual San Fermín fiesta in July, featuring the running of the bulls, has been cancelled for a second straight year.
Sex: But not everybody is closing shop because of the pandemic. NYC’s elite sex club, SNCTM, announced yesterday that they will be re-opening on May 15, and featuring (in their words) “exclusive erotic experiences, and promising a sensuous reunion for our most esteemed pleasure-seekers.” So how much to get in the door? The tickets range from $500 to $8,000 and “are extremely limited.” And... you'll have to wear a mask to see the women dressed up in lingerie or the live-sex shows.
Fast Food #1: Arby’s has amped up their menu, offering the return of the Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich and Orange Cream Shake along with a brand-new Dr Pepper Float for a limited time. Plus, the fast-food chain is also bringing back the Coca-Cola Float, and Barq’s Root Beer Float to selected locations (although some serve ’em all year ’round).
Fast Food #2: Add White Castle to the list of restaurants giving vaccinated people a freebie. If you show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination, you'll get a free dessert-on-a-stick through May 31, 2021. Dessert-on-a-stick? Yep --they have four kinds: Gooey Buttercake-on-a-Stick, Fudge Dipped Brownie-on-a-Stick, Fudge Dipped Cheesecake-on-a-Stick and the new Birthday Cake-on-a-Stick in honor of White Castle’s 100th birthday this year.
