He's dead, Jim: SPENCER SILVER, the research chemist at the 3M company who created the sticky stuff that's on the back of Post-It Notes. That was back in 1980 --41 years ago-- and they took off. Now, there's more than three-thousand Post-it Brand products used around the world. As for Spencer, he had a heart problems and had to have a heart transplant 27 years ago. He passed away this past Saturday at his home in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was 80 years old.
“Girl You Know It’s True”: There's a MILLI VANILLI documentary being made. The film will feature surviving member FAB MORVAN as well as interviews with the actual singers behind Milli Vanilli’s music. As you may remember, their album was a huge hit, but when it came out that they'd lip-synced it, they pretty much lost everything, leading to ROB PILATUS' death. Producers also promise some never-before-seen footage as well as interviews with the actual singers behind Milli Vanilli’s music and interviews with Fab Morvan.
See ya: you may have heard about 16-year-old CALEB KENNEDY --one of the top five finalists on "American Idol"-- who's leaving the show after a video surfaced showing him next to someone wearing what seems to be a Ku Klux Klan hood. The NY Post reports he posted his statement on Instagram, saying in part "I know this has hurt and disappointed a lot of people and made people lose respect for me. I’m so sorry! I pray that I can one day regain your trust in who I am and have your respect!" Kennedy’s mom says that the video was shot back when Kennedy was just 12 years old and inspired by a movie he had seen. That leaves WILLIE SPENCE, GRACE KINSTLER, CHAYCE BECKHAM and CASEY BISHOP as finalists on "Idol"
