Kind of interesting: one of LEONARDO DA VINCI's sketches just sold for $12.2 million dollars last week at an auction at Christie's. Not really a surprise, until you find out the drawing of the head of a bear was about the size of a post-it note --just under 3-by-3 inches square.
It's what he does: former president DONALD TRUMP was at the at the Conservative Political Action Conference over the weekend, and told the audience during his presentation that if he doesn't like poll results --or anything else-- he just slams it as a fake. “If it’s bad, I just say it’s fake. If it’s good, I say, ‘That’s the most accurate poll, perhaps, ever',” he told the cheering audience. So now you know.
It'll be CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER hosting the upcoming 73rd Emmy Awards on CBS. The awards airs Sunday, Sep 19, and because of the Coronavirus, there will be a limited group of nominees and their guests in the audience again at the Microsoft Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.
PARIS HILTON is the host of a new TV series on Netflix, called (...wait for it...) “Cooking With Paris.” Variety reports like your usual cooking show, she'll have guests to help her with the cooking, which should be interesting, given that she's not a trained chef. Look for it beginning Wednesday, August 4th.
Still worried about your chances of getting Coronavirus and thinking about getting a booster shot once they become available? Presidential Advisor Dr. ANTHONY FAUCI says you may not need one right now, since that delta variant mostly infects people who are unvaccinated.
Gotta love it: The guys from FOO FIGHTERS have put out a video of them performing the classic BEE GEES disco hit, ‘You Should Be Dancing’. The previously did the song during their show at Madison Square Garden last month, and now, under the name "The DEE GEES" (Get it?? --for DAVE GROHL, of course) have put the song on YouTube.
Fast food: the crew at Little Caesars have put a plant-based pizza on their menu. Their new Planteroni Pizza is made with the new Field Roast Plant-Based Pepperoni, derived from pea protein, not soy, and includes whole pieces of fennel, cracked black pepper, garlic and paprika. You can pick one up for $8.49 at Little Caesars in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, and Detroit so far. There are also other plant-based offerings as well.
Fast food 2: And because it's Shark Week, your local Sonic is celebrating the occasion with a "Shark Week Slush" at participating locations. It's basically an Icy Blue Coconut Slush topped with real strawberries and two Shark Gummies.
