Good news for people with weakened immune systems: CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens have both announced that they'll give out COVID-19 booster shots. But once again --the booster is only for high-risk groups --around 7 million American adults, and not the general public. Gotta love “South Park” creators MATT STONE and TREY PARKER, who are gonna buy the Colorado landmark Casa Bonita in Lakewood. The restaurant was made famous on their show, but with the restaurant going through bankruptcy, it looks like they may buy it. The guys talked to Colorado Governor JARED POLIS they've got an agreement with the owner, and reportedly are stoked.
Great get-together with ALEX RODRIGUEZ and KEVIN COSTNER during a weekend game between the NY Yankees and Chicago White Sox in the famous Iowa cornfield --the "Field of Dreams"-- where the movie was shot. And A-Rod took time to post a picture of himself with Costner on Twitter while revealing his top five movies of all time --which "Field of Dreams" took first place. The others:
- Field of Dreams
- Untouchables
- No Way Out
- Bull Durham
- The Bodyguard
The Hollywood Reporter says EMMA STONE will be starring in the sequel to the Disney-plus movie, "Cruella." Of course, that's an interesting move since SCARLETT JOHANSSON filed a lawsuit against Disney over her pay for "Black Widow," which was also released on Disney-plus. The problem --her pay would be less than a theatre release (because she got a portion of the theatre's profits, apparently). But it doesn't seem to be a problem for Emma.
WU-TANG CLAN rapper METHOD MAN has told the NY Post that he's bringing his marijuana to New York. Method Man, who lives in Staten Island, is reportedly calling his cannabis brand after his first solo album TICAL, the initials standing for "Taking into Consideration All Lives." He says the firm will be offering job opportunities to residents in communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs and looking forward to "working with Black, Women and Minority-owned partners from cultivation to dispensaries."
Note content: Another reason to lock away that pistol when you're at home: In Florida, a mom was on a Zoom video call for her job when one of her two toddlers picked up a loaded handgun of her husband's and shot her in the head. One of the women on the Zoom call saw it and called the police. Now the cops in Seminole County say they are discussing whether the children's father, who owned the gun, should have charges filed against him.
Food dep't: The folks at Ben & Jerry’s will be launching their Ice-Cream Flavor Challenge tonight at 9 pm (Eastern). It's a four-episode series on both the Food Network as well as Discovery Plus in which six ice-cream makers will be asked to create a new flavor inspired by a specific celebrity or pop-culture figure, each of whom will also be guiding the makers in a lab at Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, Vermont.
