There's a brand-new Girl Scout cookie in the works: They're called Adventurefuls, and are chocolate cookies filled with a "caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt" --and then topped with a chocolatey drizzle. They'll be on sale beginning in January, 2022, when the next cookie sales begin across the nation.
Phone problems: T-Mobile now says that recent data breach they experienced last week has exposed the personal information of more than 47 million people. It includes over 40 million “former or prospective customers” who had previously applied for credit and 7.8 million customers. The stuff that was exposed contained first and last names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license / ID numbers although it apparently didn't include “phone numbers, account numbers, PINs or passwords.”
Tech talk: Mastercard says they're gonna stop putting out cards with a magnetic strip beginning in 2023. The new cards will still have a chip and your personal, secure ID number used for any of their card payments. They are also offering a brand new biometric card which uses fingerprints as well for greater security.
Nice try: A 50-year-old Polish man got more than 10 years behind bars after trying to smuggle 88 pounds of amphetamine disguised as a shipment of COVID-19 vaccines into Norway. Although he covered his van with magnetic stickers using the BioNTech logo, he was still caught by border police, who discovered the speed hidden in the van’s roof.
Sad news: You can still go to amusement parks in Utah, where a 32-year-old man died Saturday night, after falling off a chair lift and dropping nearly 50 feet to the ground.
Movie news: Variety reports “Fast and Furious 10” is set to debut on April 7, 2023. It's reportedly going to be the second to last movie in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, and although JUSTIN LIN will be the director, no cast has been announced yet.
Bottoms up: The folks at Dr Pepper are releasing a brand-new, limited-edition chocolate-flavored soda. Dr Pepper FANtastic Chocolate will reportedly be a combination of their classic Dr Pepper soda and sweet chocolate --but in order to get it, you'll have to download their app and scan the proof of purchase QR code on Dr Pepper purchases. Once you’ve purchased at least $30 worth of Dr Pepper products, you’ll get the exclusive new flavor --while supplies last. Good luck.
