Music: Today's hot rumor is that as part of their 12-city international tour, the FUGEES will reunite with LAURYN HILL today (Wednesday) at an undisclosed location in New York City for an "intimate pop-up show" to mark 'The Score's 25th anniversary. You'll be able to see it because the NY Post reports it will be filmed and become a part of the "Global Citizen Live" event on Saturday. The group's official tour begins November 2nd in Chicago.
Passing: SARAH DASH, a co-founder of the group LABELLE. She was 76. Their biggest hit was "Lady Marmalade," in 1975. After the group broke up in 1976, Sarah went on a solo career and also sang on the ROLLING STONES' album "Steel Wheels" as well as doing session work.
Opinionated: DANIEL CRAIG, who was in five James Bond movies himself, including "No Time To Die" out October 8th, says he doesn't think 007 ought to be a woman. He told Radio Times that he thinks there are “better” parts for women to play, saying “Why should a woman play James Bond when there should be a part just as good as James Bond, but for a woman?” The big rumor, of course, is that actress LASHANA LYNCH, who co-stars in "No Time To Die," plays an British agent in the film, and could be "promoted" to 007 since this will be Craig's last film as the agent. As for Lynch, she reportedly believes that anyone can play Bond because no matter who does, audiences will still watch the films.
Tube talk: Look for a brand-new “Pitch Perfect” TV series. The folks at the Peacock network tell Variety that ADAM DEVINE will be back as his character, BUMPER ALLEN, who moves to Germany to revive his music career when one of his songs becomes big in Berlin. You probably remember his character as the leader of the all-male a cappella group The Treblemakers.
COVID update: Don't wanna wear a mask? Head to Texas, where a couple who were wearing masks were kicked out of the Hang Time Sports Bar and Grill in Rowlett because of their "No Mask" policy. The couple told their waitress that they were wearing masks inside the place in order to protect their immunocompromised four-month-old son. They left without a struggle. The owner told KTVT-TV that while he hadn't heard that the couple’s son had a compromised immune system, he still believed strongly in his "no masks" rule and would continue to enforce it: "I have spent my money on the business, my blood sweat and tears in this business, and I don’t want masks in here," he said.
Finally, SETH MacFARLANE has put together a PSA video plugging the COVID-19 vaccine with his “Family Guy” characters. The three-minute video has Peter Griffin trying to decide whether to get a vaccination and Stewie and Brian Griffin explain the science behind the COVID vaccine to him.
