Would you do it? In Israel, hundreds of people stripped down and posed for a butt-nekkid picture on the shoreline of the Dead Sea in Israel over the weekend. The reason: they wanted to draw attention to the Dead Sea's dramatically receding shoreline. All you saw in the picture was their bare butts, however, but it still proved to be a dramatic photo shoot by SPENCER TUNICK, who's reportedly done other similar photo-shoots around the world to highlight environmental change.
THE BEATLES are now on TikTok. Show biz tabloid Variety reports that since they're on the website, TikTok users can soundtrack their own videos with 36 of the groups’ most iconic tunes, including “Let It Be” to “Hey Jude” and “Eleanor Rigby.” Plus, there will reportedly also be exclusive behind-the-scenes clips from the “Let It Be” sessions as well.
October 30th is the date for this year's Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. TAYLOR SWIFT will welcome CAROLE KING into the Hall as well as reportedly taking part in Carole’s performance with JENNIFER HUDSON. Other highlights will include PAUL McCARTNEY inducting the FOO FIGHTERS, and DREW BARRYMORE inducting THE GO-GOS. CHRISTINA AGUILERA, MICKEY GUYTON, H.E.R., and BRYAN ADAMS are also performing this year as well. Other rock groups also getting inducted into the Hall this year include JAY-Z, TODD RUNDGREN, KRAFTWERK, CHARLEY PATTON, GIL SCOTT-HERON, LL COOL J, BILLY PRESTON and RANDY RHOADS.
ADELE fans have a treat coming. She's scheduled to premiere songs from her new "30" album on a CBS special, "Adele One Night Only," set to air on Sunday, November 14th. There's also an interview with OPRAH WINFREY on the special as well, which airs from 8:30-10:30 pm (Eastern time). The album itself will be out the following Friday, November 19th.
Tube talk: Major problems for the Sinclair Broadcast Group --the second-largest TV station operator in the US-- which announced yesterday that they've been the victims of a ransomware attack this past weekend. One of the problems is reportedly impacting ads on its local stations.
While we're talking awards, the producers of the CMA Awards have announced that LUKE BRYAN will host this year's edition November 10th on ABC. Trivia note: last year's hosts were REBA McENTIRE and DARIUS RUCKER.
