Not gonna happen (yet): The 2022 Grammy Awards, scheduled for January 31st, have been postponed indefinitely due to the COVID crisis. The Recording Academy and CBS announced the news in a joint statement on Wednesday. It's the second year the Awards have been postponed; last year it took place in March.
So far. JOHN BATISTE has the most nominations with 11, including album of the year, record of the year and best R&B album. JUSTIN BIEBER, DOJA CAT and H.E.R. each picked up eight nominations, while BILLIE EILISH and OLIVIA RODRIGO each have seven.
Still happening: the 79th Annual Golden Globe Awards on this Sunday evening (Jan 9th) beginning at 9 pm (Eastern). The Hollywood Foreign Press Association says there won't be a red carpet and only a few members of the Association will be in the audience.
Whoops! JASON DERULO was in the middle of a fight with two people in Las Vegas Tuesday after someone allegedly cursed at him sometime around midnight at a hotel nightclub and called him USHER. Fortunately for Jason, the two guys who called him "Usher" did not want to press charges, but after police arrived around 2 am, Jason was told by hotel security to leave the property under a trespass order.
See ya: Remember how everybody used to talk about the "General Hospital" soap and Luke and Laura? Laura (played by GENIE FRANCIS) and Luke (ANTHONY GEARY) were married on the show back on November 17th, 1981, but now, almost 30 years later, the writers killed Luke off. The original wedding was the highest rated event in daytime TV history. But on Monday's show, the character of Tracy Quartermaine (who was married to Luke), revealed to Laura that Luke had died off screen in a cable car accident overseas and (wait for it...) it might not have been an accident. after all (Dun-dun-dun!).
GAL GADOT, who just had her third child with her husband, told InStyle magazine that "I love giving birth. I would do it once a week if I could. It's so magical." Gal, who's 36, said "I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it's not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you're creating life, it's incredible."
Question for female listeners: Do you agree? And what was your childbirth like?
One more note: Gal did say she didn't like BEING pregnant, because it makes her sick.
Desserts: Girl Scout cookie season is back, and you can buy cookies online now. You can also wait until the middle of the month to find the cookies in grocery stores or from a Scout selling them door-to-door. Here are this year's available cookie brands:

Fast food: Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants will be selling plant-based fried chicken beginning January 10th. The KFC stores will be using Beyond Fried Chicken, which the folks at Beyond Meat have created exclusively for KFC. One warning --the Beyond Fried Chicken is cooked in the same fryer as their meat products so KFC cannot guarantee there is no cross-contamination.
This is a rarity --in California over New Year's night, a set of fraternal twins were born --one before the New Year began and one afterward. That's right --they were born in different years! ALFREDO ANTONIO TRUJILLO was born at 11:45 pm and his sister, AYLIN YOLANDA TRUJILLO was born at the stroke of midnight. Interestingly, the hospital which delivered the twins says the likelihood that twins are born in different years is about one in two million.
We'll find out which figure skaters will be going to Japan for the Olympics on Team USA this week, as the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championships take place in Nashville, TN at the Bridgestone Arena. The US qualified for 16 figure skating spots in Beijing: three for male skaters, three female skaters, two pairs, and the ice dance teams. The main competition will take place from Thursday to Sunday.
Looking for a full time driving job, but don't wanna do LYFT, UBER or drive a small bus around with kids inside? Planters may have a job for you --they're looking for three people to drive Mr. Peanut in their 26-foot-long NUTmobile from coast to coast. The drivers --called Peanutters-- will not only be drivers, but are expected to do media interviews along the way as well as "cracking nut puns and ensuring everyone has a nutty time with Mr. Peanut and the NUTmobile." The folks at Planters also would like you to have a college degree in sales and marketing, with preferred experience in communications, advertising, public relations or a related field. And you gotta do a 30-45 second long creative video why you should become a Peanutter. Get your application, a resume and video in by January 24th at www.beapeanutter.com. You're welcome.
