You can't always get what you want, as evidenced by the guy who attempted to break into a Sam Ash Music Store Thursday. The guy broke in through a window near the roof and walked around a perimeter ledge around the building until he lost his balance and fell three stories down into the store, striking a lamp post and a guitar display on the way down. Then he apparently used an amplifier to break through a glass door and leave, in the process leaving a blood trail, which police used to identify him through a DNA test. He was caught, and later posted bail (of $10-grand) and is wandering around until his trial.
Chevy has announced how much it's new, 2023 Corvette Stingray will cost. You'll need to fork over $63,195 for the 495 hp V8-powered sports car, up about a grand from last year's model.
In the hospital: Teresa Giudice, after an emergency medical procedure. TMZ sez she had a "non-cosmetic" operation Thursday morning. Your guess about what that operation was???
There's always somebody trying to smuggle drugs into the US by bringing them across the Rio Grande from Mexico. The latest way is by ferrying a Chevy Trailblazer loaded with almost 650 pounds of marijuana across the river by using empty 55-gallon drums that act as flotation devices. But US Customs and Border Protection agents spotted it and were able to intercept it, although the driver got away, jumped back into the Rio Grande and swam back to Mexico. Now the agents have 648 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $519-thousand dollars in their possession.
Good news: Rachel Zegler, who played Maria in Steven Spielberg's new version of "West Side Story" was originally not invited to Sunday night's Oscar broadcast, but has now not only been invited, but will present an award as well. Rachel is currently shooting Disney's new live action "Snow White" movie in the UK. "West Side Story" is up for seven awards Sunday night. As you know, the Oscars will be on Sunday night with Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes hosting the show on ABC.
