Tube talk: Variety reports the CBS show “Blue Bloods” has been renewed for a 13th season 13. Good reason --the show, starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg and Bridget Moynihan is averaging around 9.8 million viewers this season.
Taylor Swift fans are trying to buy tickets to see her give the commencement speech at New York University graduation on May 18th. Taylor will be getting an honorary degree from NYU and the "Swifties" have been offering up to $500 for tickets to the event at Yankee Stadium. However, the university forbids graduates to auction off their tickets, and if they do, can face delays getting their degrees and diplomas.
Sick bay: Former Oasis guitarist Bonehead --real name Paul Arthurs-- has been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. He posted a note on Twitter that he'll be "taking a break for a while" and will not appear with Liam Gallagher at gigs this summer while he's getting treatment like surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
Surprise: an Illinois man and his wife who were updating their house's bathroom found a 1950s McDonald's hamburger and half-eaten fries behind the wall. He told Fox 5 "We were happy to find just the McDonald’s bag and not something worse," and said they didn't smell at all.
Shocker --you may have had COVID and didn't know it: A new six-month study from the CDC claims that nearly 60-percent of the U.S. population --and an amazing 75-percent of U.S. children-- have had some kind of infection with the virus that causes COVID-19 as of this past February. That would mean around 200-million people in the US have had COVID-19. The Feds say that you can still have COVID even if you don't develop symptoms and there may be three people infected for every case officially reported during the Omicron wave.
Casting call: The producers of the TV show, “The Crown,” are looking for a young woman to play Kate Middleton in the next season. The actress must look like Kate back in the early 2000s. She'll be on the show along with actors who are playing teenage versions of Prince William and Prince Harry.
