Scheduling

Usually I eavesdrop on the karate moms while waiting for my double black belt (hey, a moms gotta brag) to take class. But, it was in the restroom at karate after a kickboxing class that I heard my latest chick-schtick. Two gals were washing their hands after class, as we get pretty sweaty and the weights get very grimy. Both were planning when it would be best to clean in accordance with when they were going to get their nails done. Apparently, you can not get your nails done then clean because the usual cleaning product can cause nail polish to dull. When asked about wearing rubber gloves I was told they smudge polished nails.

The plan went back and forth a few times with different scheduling options; finally the consensus was that we all go home that night, after a full day of work and a full workout to clean house so we could get our nails done tomorrow. And that's exactly what we did. For the record, not so much thought goes into a pedicure which is probably why I prefer them.
