Eat In

There's an extra cook in my house, like someone who really cooks, meals and stuff and it's wonderfully weird as I have always been the sole provider of nutrition in my family. Outside of cereal, Mac & cheese, ramen, grilled cheese and frozen pizza any food of substance would come from mom, that would be me. And thanks to food tv shows it's been easier for the head of any kitchen to get motivated especially on those nights when cooking for 45 minutes a meal that will be devoured in 10 minutes seems meaningless. Now, my daughters friend from college, AuCo spends hours in my kitchen whipping up anything she wants to with the ingredients already in stock. The first time she used an Ingredient I had slated for a specific meal I realized this was a good problem to have however there is one rule I need to enforce and that's the "you can only make one amazing dessert at a time" rule. Yesterday I came home to a homemade apple and chocolate cream pie, oatmeal raisin cookies and a meal of quiche and salad. Again a good problem to have. I'm of the belief that a woman would much prefer getting or winning a freezer full of meals instead of dinner out. Staying in is easier than eating out. Need a little help? I'll send AuCo your way.
