The day after any holiday usually needs a jump start. Yesterday looks great on a Hallmark card with many families enjoying a backyard BBQ. The card does not show the clean up of garbage and recycling many did before going to bed last night. A lot of women are waking up tired with crabby kids today, carting them off to summer camp complete with a packed lunch and a backpack filled with supplies like a swim suit and towel (cleaned since yesterday's use), change of clothes, sunscreen and bug spray and anything else her camper could need. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes of her life it's crazy, hard to manage yet doable.
And she's doing that today plus working, walking the dog, answering emails and figuring out what's for dinner.
Leftover macaroni salad and baked beans anyone?

The cochineal bug sounds like something a contestant is asked to eat on a reality TV show but actually American's consume it more than they may realize. The dried body of this bug is used in artificial colors. If a label reads "Artifical colors" or "color added" theres a good chance that this bug was used. Thanks to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, the FDA just ruled that if this insect is used it must be included on the label.
Not only is it unappetizing, allergic reaction occur because of it.

Here are some tips to make her grilling even better:
- Baste burgers with melted butter, the natural sugars will caramelize and create a tastier meal.
- Soak vegetables in ice water before grilling to help them stay crisp.
- Tenderize meat with onion juice.
- Use more citrus, squeeze oranges, lemons and limes on all meats to creat moisture and flavor.
