Seeing Sade in Atlanta at the Phillips Arena was an amazing lesson on how valuable the smaller movement is. Unlike Janet Jackson or Rihanna, who choreograph every move with choppy funky steps, Sade was a classic smooth, okay I'll say it, operator. Watching her handle her music and crowd with such a subtle yet powerful presence and feel really speaks for the saying 'less is best.' She more than commands her stage and sets the perfect tone for the experience she wants you to have. Sometimes we push very hard to hit that punchline within ten seconds or we run ahead of schedule just to get there. Maybe it's time to watch a Sade DVD and get a little inspiration.
