I'm inside the Georgia Dome waiting for the Falcons game to start. My research radar is on to see what's up with the women inside this stadium. I'm seeing lots of families and girlfriends wearing Falcon gear; all seems merry and "red," the color that seems to prevail in the south. It's a beautiful night, jeans and jerseys are in fashion, and many seem content. Munching popcorn, taking pictures with iPhones and texting is the pre-game routine, until it's time to sing the national anthem. All rise, no one needs to be told to remove their hat, and hands cross over hearts as I stand in a sea of people proud of their country. The mom of a family in front of me is accompanied by three sons and dad, who keeps everyone in line with one look; mom, on the other hand, keeps dad in line. It's fun to watch as the fans of hug and high five every- and I mean every time a good play happens. As I look for the the uniqueness of this situation, I realize there is no drama. Maybe after raising two daughters I come to expect this, but sitting in front of me is good clean family fun. Sure hope they are listening to you on their drive home from the game.
