By now, the kids are on summer break. Many new summer schedules includes dropping kids off at some kind of summer camp before heading to work, cleaning the pool, and lathering on sunscreen. Winter weight gain can be countered by the new, fresh alternatives at the local farmer's market or grocery store, and grilling has becomes a way a life. It makes for such an easier dinner time clean up. Past-due graduation and wedding presents will get mailed by the end of this month from those who were probably celebrating the same life events. Midday makeup meltdowns have me clamoring for pressed powder while I shuffle around in skinny jeans or shorts, opting not to wear linen as it wrinkles too much. My summer challenges include dry, cracked heels that show while wearing sandals and finding my kid's swimming goggles that were thought to be lost forever. Whether the wax is hot or cold, I'm into hair removal and using my new Lady Schick shaver removes body hair faster than you can say ouch! Painted toes, which are an abundant summer sight, can really tell a lot about your friends and their personalities. Some fancy the clean French-manicured toe, the bright-red statement, or the popular shades of black. I savor the feel of fresh-cut grass between my toes and sweet-smelling laundry I fold while watching a DVD from Netflix. Somewhere in the fridge there is a pint of Ben & Jerry's calling my name...can't ya just hear it?
