"That's really wrong of @lululemon to extend their #BlackFriday deals when I was so proud of my initial self-control."
"Sorry, we're not sorry @Bethbacall. It's time to treat yourself."
And so goes my tweet exchange that has garnered a lot of fun response from my friends and fellow gym goers. I was super thrilled one of my favorite stores responded. People love to be acknowledged; even if the store didn't attach an extra code for a deeper discount, it's great to hear back from friends and companies you relate to. Hint, hint.
Black Friday became a weekend event this year, and Cyber Monday morphed into Cyber Week, changing our shopping landscape. Now, the best way to really get that coveted Nintendo Switch or $100 mega pixel television is to stalk your favorite shopping sites or social media pages, and grab the good before they sell out. Past year's footage of crowds storming through shop doors just to get a deal leave many happy to sleep in and shop online. The computer deal I was looking at for my daughter is still available, so my Black Friday feelings are ch, ch, ch changing.
My point is, tweet back, answer the comment and 'like' whatever you can when a listener connects with you. It's time consuming if you don't have a social media team I know, but it's how we are speaking and continuing the conversation. You could be that tweet she shares at her dinner table of work Holiday party.
