Once again, Christmas has come too soon. Some of my friends got their Christmas trees up before Halloween. But, while complaining, I realized: the sooner we get into the holiday spirit, the sooner we can focus on the opportunity to nominate or receive a Christmas wish. Magical moments happen during this season and audio creates the best feeling of hope, anticipation, and nostalgia.

Just for fun, last year I gift wrapped a few of the hot Christmas toys, along with an Instant Pot. Then I had my traffic reporter unwrap a gift every few days and whoever came closest to the amount of time it took to unwrap said gift got to keep it. This worked on the air and social media really well. The woman who won the Instant Pot just had recently suffered a devastating kitchen fire. Winning this gift brought her hope, and the first appliance for her new kitchen.

Concert tickets, coat drives, living nativities, Hot Chocolate, 5K runs, they all have meaning. Never underestimate the power of a song or your connection to her with your content. You might become a holiday memory she shares for years to come. It's easy to get overwhelmed during this season as there's a lot of need that usually goes beyond gifts and meals. Automotive, dental, and housing needs are hard to fix, but a list of charitable resources can be the workaround to give 'Santa' that helping hand. Connection: she loves and needs it. The stockings are already hung, go fill 'em!
