Cancer has dramatically changed the lives of two of my close friends; their husbands could teach a master class on how to care for an ailing spouse. These ladies have hard to hear outlooks, but their partners are pillars, not holding back their tears while holding up their wife.
Facebook offers an outlet where these raw emotions and truths are shared. If you have a friend like this I encourage you to connect on Facebook, or send a handwritten letter with a word of encouragement and a photo. Bake some cookies, order a fun mail order gift while supporting a small business.
I found a local shop that delivers charcuterie boards, a welcome treat, good for a little nosh. Go above for your people.
