Flip It

"How's my Hair?", "Does this outfit make me look fat?", are both open ended typical questions that point to women. Let's move past them shall we. I mean really, have you seen the "Spanx" for men? If not check out the latest in form fitting clothes for girls and guys at www.Spanx.com.
Lately the typical questions I hear are "How am I going to pay for that" or "How many fat grams do you think this has?". Sure the list of rants are long, even long-winded but if you can capture the rant of the day and flip it for her, she'll notice. So the weather is not cooperating, it's hot outside, it's summer! It's suppose to be hot. Instead of following her lead in complaining, remind her how amazing a dip in the pool feels on a day like this. Or how perfect a watermelon margarita tastes with temperatures in the 90's. Helping anyone see the good in something negative will always work in your favor provided your not being bossy or judgmental. Spin it. So it's freezing in Northern California. I'm personally jealous that 60 degrees is considered freezing but that's not going to win me any friends, besides most of my friends in the Bay area have complained so much about the weather I'm sending them all sweatshirts with station logo. That's one way to flip it ,if you have the budget.
Your words are golden, when you prep today think about what's happening in your specific area that has her challenged. Research a few supportive options and move forward with your bad self. Then blog it, Facebook it, even video it if you can so she can further enjoy how much of a difference you have made in her day.

She Knows Money
There are reasonable ways to pay off her mortgage early, yet not disrupt her budget too much. The dollar-a-month plan has you paying an extra dollar each month; one dollar the first month, two dollars the next, and so on. With the right interest rate, a thirty-year mortgage could be paid off in 22 years. Or, instead of paying monthly, a bi-weekly payment equals an extra payment annually, and saves interest. Even though it can be a pain and add more to the budget, refinancing a 30-year down to a 15-year loan could really save money in the long run. She can figure out if she can afford this by running some numbers on a mortgage calculator at www.bankrate.com.
