This is the biggest week of the summer on the Discovery Channel; it's Happy Shark Week! Thanks to the insane promotion this show gets many are aware of this nightly special. If you log on to www.discovery.com you will find everything you ever wanted or didn't want to know about sharks: a carnivorous fish with a long body, two dorsal fins, sharp teeth a cartilaginous skeleton and thick, rough skin. Shark also defines a ruthless person but I'll stick with this program. The Ultimate Guide to Sharks, the Shark Cam, Shark videos, games and news plus pictures its all there.
When my daughter was four she was fascinated with sharks. I got her a blow up pool toy shaped like a sharks mouth and she would sit inside of it and yell "help, help."
The audience for this varies but does included moms so take this opportunity to connect. Although you might not want to start off with the fact that Mother sharks offer no food or protection for their young. The nerve!

August is:
The best time to buy computers because retailers and manufacturers offer back-to-the-grind/school specials.
She'd be queen for a day if..
...her kids would turn their dirty clothes right side out before putting them in the hamper.
She's totally ready for...
- A new flattering and easy haircut
- No more make-up meltdown!
She beauty
- She tries not to leave a new lipstick in a hot, parked car.
- Professional office dress-flipflops belong on the beach, shorts and minis are for after work, and it's called underwear for a rea- son.
She keeps telling herself..
Baby steps...
She's at the drive-thru
Fast food is cheap and not very nutritious. How healthy can something that costs $1 be? However, when time is limited and cranky kids are in the back seat, a Happy Meal can bring much relief to a harried mom. Learning to make healthy choices, at the dinner table or drive-thru, is important for any- one. Here comes the Internet to the rescue:
- www.CalorieKing.com has a 50,000-item database that covers most fast-food choices.

- Pay in cash and double-check your bill.

There are reasonable ways for her to pay off her mortgage early yet not disrupt her budget too much. The dollar-a-month plan has her paying one dollar extra each month: one dollar the first month, two dollars the second, and so on. With the right interest rate, she could have a 30-year mortgage paid off in 22 years. Or, instead of paying monthly, a bi-weekly payment equals an extra
She bride
The current economic climate is absolutely affecting bridal budgets. The cost of getting married had risen from $22,360 in 2002 to $27,852 in 2007. Couples are paying more for the wedding too, about 32% of the tab. Cost-cutting measures have brides swapping fresh flowers for silk ones and using MP3 players instead of hiring a band or DJ. The gown is the one thing that many will not skimp on.
