Bark and Cry

While waiting in line to board a coast to coast flight I heard a dog bark excitedly. Behind me I saw a little yappy dog who obviously wasn't flying first class. The man in front of me frowned and commented "here we go again", he proceeds to tell me how he travels this route regularly and that this dog is also a frequent flier that barks non-stop for the first hour of the flight. As soon as I slid into my seat the woman with the barking dog sat in-front of me. This was a full plane so the thought of changing seats was just that: a thought. Just as I was warned, the dog barked non-stop as I began to settle in. Then, a loud screeching sound pummeled me from behind; when I turned around and peeked through the seats I saw an already harried mom holding a crying baby. I was totally trapped and couldn't turn my headphones up loud enough to block out all the noise. Yes, that was one long flight. Would you rather sit in front of a crying baby or behind a barking dog while flying coast to coast? "She" must have an opinion on that, or an even better travel horror story.
