I'm attending a big convention in a few weeks. This event has been on my calendar for a while. Thanks to early planning I can make sure my hair looks its best. Yes, next to figuring out child care, travel arrangements and work issues I'm thinking about my hair. As soon as I got the date for this event I booked my cut and color for two weeks prior just so it can be at its best when meeting and greeting so many new people and colleagues. My "roots" should really get "touched up" sooner than this; actually today would be good as my daughter has already commented on the strip of dark stuff on my scalp, but I must time this properly in order to look my finest. I knew I wasn't alone in this when the executive director of this organization told me she had scheduled her hair appointment around this conference too. Anyone who colors their hair regularly needs to give it a reboot after 6-8 weeks; thanks to the recession it leans more towards 8-10 weeks at times. I guarantee you if she has a major event coming up she has her hair appointment scheduled to coincide with the timing of said event. You have a captive audience inside a hair salon because once she's in the chair she ain't going anywhere utill she looks marvelous.
