My patience was beyond tested over the weekend all because of a cell phone. Late Friday afternoon I took my daughter to the cell phone store so we could use an upgrade and get her a new phone. She was now using a friend's phone that only worked some of the time because she broke her original phone, I don't even want to know how it happened. If you want to know where your teen is at all times they need a cell phone, no matter what. It's one of the best forms of accountability and frustration. We quickly picked out a model, transferred numbers and pictures, paid and left. I'm telling you kids and cell phones amaze me, it's so beyond novelty plus their brains are programmed to work things like this without much instruction. My kid was really happy with this shiny blue Infinity 2. We went home, cooked and ate dinner and got ready to watch a movie. She spent maybe forty minutes in her room playing guitar. As we were settling in to watch "The Breakfast Club" for the millionth time (Judd Nelson was so cute in this movie) she tells me that her phone won't work right and she shows me how it's vibrating and buzzing nonstop. This phone was definitely defective, or so I thought. When we returned the next day the salesman said that it had water damage. My teen swears she did not get this phone wet and I believe her because if she did she would have stuck it in a cup of rice or started blow drying it. But the salesman had no other recourse except to put a claim through on our insurance. And if I recap how long it took at the store and on the phone with the insurance claim adjustor I will not be doing anyone any good so I'll just text you a scream and wish you a good show.

The Wall Street Journal reports 35.65 million females with children use Facebook; this is about 32 percent of the site's total U.S. users. Moms are searching for coupons, friendship, and checking on their kids. When she needs an opinion on anything from party favors to restaurants or if she needs help with something, she'll post on Facebook, This is not to mention the games and updated photos to keep her happy too. It's a great way to stay connected and in touch with others.
