Normal Wash

My dishwasher broke. Thankfully I had a fresh pair of rubber gloves and an extended warranty. My scheduled service was to happen five days after my inquiry call. Yes, five days without this appliance. My scheduled time would be somewhere between 8 am and 12 noon. After clearing my schedule, I stayed home and waited and waited. Soon it's 12:30 and no technician arrives. I got a simple apology and the service rescheduled. The phone operator was overly nice, I knew it wasn't his fault the repairman got stuck at another job and did not have the courtesy to call and say he was running late. I know it wasn't his fault that I could have been doing fifty million other things instead of waiting around for this repair. I even know it's not his fault that my stupid dishwasher broke mid cycle and the dirty water that sits in the bottom is stinking up my house. Thankfully, I don't need a clean air machine technician. There are so many odd little gray areas of where life radio filters in; vehicles of repairman running late, homes or challenged women waiting for late repair people. Oh, that might even make you the referee!
