The Colorado Rockies were up in arms when they caught Phillies bullpen coach Mick Billmeyer trying to steal signs with binoculars, but now they're being suspected of some skulduggery of their own, possibly slipping some non-humidor balls into the supply for opposing pitchers to throw. As you know, the Rockies have to store all baseballs in a humidor to make them less lively in the thin mile-high air, but after Tim Lincecum loudly complained about the "juiced balls" while pitching at Coors Field, MLB is taking greater oversight of the chain of custody of the balls. Up until now, nobody was paying much attention. (San Jose Mercury News)
