One of the Justice Department lawyers who allegedly botched the Ted Stevens case committed suicide. He was under invesigation for possible prosecutorial misconduct. Don't know whether that's why he killed himself, but if it is, it raises the question of whether you could ever imagine being in such despair that you couldn't go on anymore. Actually, there were moments in "Mad Men" last week when it seemed Don Draper was close to that point, fearing being exposed as the deserter and fraud he is. (New York Times)
