This is just bull: Businesses are whining that they can't find qualified applicants for open positions, despite widespread unemployment and desperation on the part of job seekers. Why the disconnect? Simple: During the recession, the companies made surviving workers combine several jobs per position. Now, they can't find people who can do all the duties they've merged, an unrealistic demand from the start. They COULD re-divide the duties the way they used to be, but that would require hiring more people, which they're unwilling to do. (AP via MSNBC)
