7th Grade: I Knew What Sex Was, And I Knew I Wasn't Going To Get Any For A While
-
A middle school in Washington distributed a survey to seventh graders asking whether they're male, female, or transgender, and straight, bisexual, gay or lesbian or "not sure." First off, seventh graders? And second, what business is it of the school's WHAT kids are? Also, it asked them whether they know the difference between oral, vaginal, and anal sex, and if they know where to get condoms and how to use them. And it's kinda obvious that the school knew this would get people upset, because they didn't send the opt-out form to parents until the DAY THE SURVEY WAS GIVEN TO THE KIDS. So parents weren't given enough time to react. The head of the group creating the test said that 12-year-olds are way more sexually active than parents think, but if that's true, there are a LOT more problems than that survey is addressing.
