They Never Saw It Coming
-
Here's film of San Francisco days before the 1906 earthquake. "60 Minutes" showed it for the first time on TV, and it's fascinating, showing what life was like in that era, before disaster struck. And the kicker is this: Every single building in the short film was destroyed a week later. Many of the people seen in the film probably perished in the quake and fires. The film itself only survived because it was shipped to New York the day before the disaster. (CBS News)
